We are pleased to present a Tongue and Lip Tie Workshop to be presented by Dr. Alison Hazelbaker and Dr. Martin Kaplan. Dr. Alison Hazelbaker is the developer of the HATLFF, a tongue tie assessment tool used around the country to assist in the evaluation of infants. Dr. Martin Kaplan is a leader in the treatment of infant lip and tongue ties with safe proven laser frenectomy. After many requests for more education we have been able to organize a full day class for IBCLC’s, doulas, midwives, and ancillary newborn professionals to help reinforce the absolute need for assessment, rationale for treatment, and how to best diagnose and support your patients with suspected frenum issues.
The intent besides education is to provide a group support system to help those who feel they are unsure of what to do and how to go about providing the required treatments and evaluations for their new families who are in distress and require more support. As an educated team, we can help the mothers and babies and bring current education to the New England Area. If interested, please go to the attached link and register for this important first of a time class being presented in the area.
